A girl with orange hair
and a madman whose hair faded in age.
Paintings hidden in a small home
stacked one up on another
coffee stains
and color.
"They're precious to me."
A bright Arles morning
sunlight filtering into a bedroom of blue, orange and red.
Bouquets of flowers
here and there
bright yellow, dark orange and black.
"Always somewhere between living and dying."
The things he sees that no one else will ever see
through the filter of darkness.
A burst of vivid life
a breath of something only he felt.
"On my own, I fear I may not do as well."

The stars are out, the
moon is as bright as your eyes,
but I'm lost in them,
instead of the night.
You captivate me, darling
